Bank robberies have been around since the eighteen hundreds when Jessie James robbed the Clay County Savings Association in Liberty, Missouri. Since then, we've witnessed thousands of these heists across the country. But why is this financial institution a burglary target? This is where the money is, as one well-known crook puts it. To deter criminals from targeting the facility, every bank should have an armed security guard. Barriers at teller stations should be installed to prevent a robber from jumping over the counter. Exterior cameras that can capture an image of the getaway automobile, collect its license plate number, and determine the direction it headed after the heist could also aid in apprehending the perpetrators.
